McLeod Nine, the Swingy Stringy Funky Folky duo from Texas, plays  jiggy, jazzy, gorgeous  acoustic music, with roots deep in their Celtic and Americana past. Their award-winning songwriting (Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk finalists, and Americana Fest, Nacogdoches winner) is front and center in their shows and draws from a deep well of musical and life experience. Most of all, McLeod Nine want their audiences to be energized, inspired and to have fun! (For example, One of the highlights of their shows is Christy getting the audience to dance a simple Irish Ceili dance.)

Gordon and Christy McLeod's eclectic music spans a wide range of worlds including Americana, Celtic, Folk, Irish,  Swing and Django-jazz,  Bluegrass and Cajun. In a world of trendy and ever narrowing genres, McLeod Nine's shows offer a refreshingly varied pallet of styles and textures.  While the roots of their musical tree are the  American and Celtic  traditions , the branches cover a wide patch of ground strewn with multi-colored leaves of blues, jazz, and even classical hues. Christy says " We want to make sure in our shows that the next song is always something different from the last one!" 

Gordon loves music and has been playing most of his life, 

(since 4 years old).

He plays lots of  jazz and swing music with a gypsy tinge (Django Reinhardt, both originals and standards on violin and guitar, Gordon Plays  lots of traditional Irish fiddle music and  my own originals in more contemporary styles. Gordon also plays classical music.

Gordon has  played with the Texas Gypsies and lots of other folks in the Texas music scene which he finds rich and exciting. 

Gordon's  love of music is the direct result of listening and emulating literally hundreds of other musicians who he is honored to have heard.

Gordon believes that life is the most precious gift and that we honor all those who gave us life and taught us to live by enjoying it. Music is the best way I know to do that and help others to do the same!

years. He has stage, film, tv, and voice-acting credits. He has been blessed to write and produce shows since 2019. He is a big fan of Elvis and has even played him on stage in various productions. He has produced a one act musical play called, “ The Gospel Soul of Elvis” which toured Texas in 2023. His latest production, “ Elvis is in the Building” is a unique original show that’s geared toward senior communities.s.

Merry Miller is a world-renowned harpist, recording artist, Children's Author and TV host who has released 21 albums and been featured on ABC, FOX, TODAY, QVC and more. While classically trained, she brings the harp to life by playing every style and song, including Pop Hits! She started playing professionally at age 12 and has performed for countless Major Artists, Celebrities, World Leaders and more. .
